Hi Lovies, Merry Christmas!! I hope everyone has had the most wonderful, magical day with your friends and family. Christmastime is my absolute favorite time of year. It's not about the presents, it's about being with my family. I've been in Colorado up until Tuesday so we were finally able to decorate the tree when I got home. This entire week the kitchen has smelled like cookies and apple crisp, and there have been a constant flow of Christmas movies and music on in the background. It's been so nice to be back in my little town. My brother and I went up to Vermont to ski, and I'll post some of those pictures tomorrow.
We woke up around 9, and I took on the role of Chef. We made blueberry pancakes, apple cinnamon honey pancakes, cinnamon pancakes, and then one sneaky white chocolate pancake that I had. We had a very relaxing morning opening up presents and stocking stuffers. My favorite part is actually giving to everyone else in my family. My mom actually cried because it brought back childhood memories for her. Funny, but how special!
We watched football, sat around the fire, opened up presents for our pets, and played with them all day. It was just the four of us this year, so it was quiet around the house. We prepped for our first vegetarian Christmas dinner, and my mom made a loaf a bread-- which happens once in a blue moon!
Take a look at some of the pictures from today. Featuring: Rose (my orange cat), Eli (yellow pup), and missing Andy (black labrador). Unfortunately, we don't take many pictures as a family when we're just relaxing all day. I promise I'll try to get some before I head back to Denver.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight.
