One of the first posts I wanted to talk about was the first family trip to Vail! We spent Thanksgiving doing any type of snow activities mother-nature allowed us to do. While there wasn't a ton of snow yet, we took advantage of sight seeing while snowshoeing along Eaglesnest. Luckily Team Darwin was able to ski a little bit. It was funny because most people were complaining how bad the conditions were opening day, but it felt like we were skiing on the East Coast, so it wasn't too bad. We ventured over to Beaver Creek to check out the fireworks and tree lighting. SANTA showed up, and needless to say everyone was excited about it. It was a bit of an unconventional Thanksgiving for us because we didn't cook! Nonetheless, the activities, food at Sonnenalp and the tree lighting made for some awesome family time. Can't wait for them to come back out again.
